Thursday September 26th 2013 – 7 – 8.30 p.m. At Ravenstone Primary School, Ravenstone Street, Balham
Come along to this event to find out how you can make a real impact in your local community. Volunteers are needed to help on projects such as:
- Computer skills classes (for older people) run in conjunction with Balham Library, Streetlife.com and our volunteers
- A local history project – in participation with local schools and volunteers
- A social group at Wimborne House (sheltered housing scheme on Bedford Hill)
- Compilation of a street talents directory listing people’s skills and talents
- A gardening scheme (working in cooperation with Age UK Wandsworth)
The network of volunteers is growing but more people are needed, so please come along and bring your friends and neighbours too! You will find out more about current and future projects, and how you can use your skills to get involved and make a difference in your community.
