Working with a local crime-prevention group, I've set up a volunteering session in Balham on the afternoon of Saturday 1st February which I hope you will want to be involved with.
Overgrown hedges in front of houses give burglars an ideal opportunity to break in to properties without detection, so we will be cutting the front garden hedges of elderly residents back to size. I’ve done a bit of topiary before and it’s good fun!
We'll start at 2pm and if you think you could spare an hour or two, please let me know on dan@danwatkins.org.uk. Meeting point at 2pm is corner of Laitwood Rd and Harberson Rd, just a few minutes walk from Balham tube/train station, but all of the hedges to cut are close to that point so if you can't come down til later you should find us fine.

Hope to see you there,
Dan
